Transferring or Reconnecting Services

Transferring Your Service
All residents must have an active water account on record with the City of Murphy in good standing status, before we are able to transfer your service. The new address must be within the city limits of Murphy. Please complete a Utility Application and bring it to the Customer Service Department or fax it to 972-468-4104. Please inform us that you are transferring service to a new address and that you are already a current resident. We will transfer your deposit to the new address once everything has been completed and approved. You will still be responsible for your final billing at your previous address.

Reconnecting Services

To restore service after hours (such as weekends, holidays, and nights) please call the after hours number at 972-468-4236. A $50 service fee will be applied to your water account for this after hour service and must be paid along with the balance due located on your door hanger notice that night by either dropping it in the night box located at City Hall or by coming in to our office the next business day at 8 a.m. to make payment
