When you receive a citation you will have twenty (20) days to make your appearance for your citation. An appearance must be made in person or by mail – a telephone call does not constitute an appearance. There are several options available on or before the appearance date on the citation, including:
Pay your fine by the appearance date listed on the citation;
If you want to pay your fine:
You may come in person or mail a check for the amount of the fine by your appearance date on the citation;
You may request an extension of up to thirty days to pay your fine; this request must be made by the original appearance date listed on the citation either in person or by mail or fax;
Payments may be made by check, Visa, Master Card or cash; a $2.00 fee is added to all debit and credit card transactions paid by phone;
Online credit card payments may be made online for most cases; a $3.25 fee is added to all online payments; payments online will result in a conviction; please allow 72 hours plus any holiday hours for warrants to be cleared if they have been paid online.
You may request an installment payment plan at the clerk’s window if you are unable to pay the full amount of your fine; a time payment fee of $25.00 will be added to each charge when payments exceed thirty days.;
Payment of fine will result in a conviction and may go on your driving record.
