Building Inspection

The mission of the Building Inspection Department is to ensure the safety and welfare of the general public by enforcing building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical code regulations within the City.

Permits
Permits ensure the proposed construction meets zoning as well as adopted building codes. When construction has begun, it is your responsibility to schedule needed inspections as indicated by the building inspection division. Permits and inspections help ensure safe construction with sound materials. Applications must be made and permits issued prior to beginning work.
