Parks Department Vision Statement:
Establish a premier parks and recreation system that is among the best in smaller communities in the DFW area. Create a park system that will improve the appearance of Murphy. Provide a variety of recreation facilities and programs to meet the ultimate needs and desires of Murphy’s growing population. Preserve and enhance Murphy’s open space and natural resources. Develop a network of pedestrian and bike trails throughout Murphy. Maintain parks in a superior condition. Work with public and private entities to provide resources to acquire, develop, and maintain parks, open spaces, and recreation facilities.
