The City of Murphy requires all pets to be registered and proof of rabies vaccination to be filed with the City of Murphy Animal Care and Control annually. Both tags must be affixed on your animal at times. We never plan for our pets to get out, so please keep their collar on and in good condition, per City Ordinances: Chapter 14.

This registration is to be renewed by the owner annually, and failure to do so could result in fines. The City DOES NOT send a reminder, so mark your calendar or schedule to renew each year when you have your pet vaccinated. There is a $10.00 per day charge in addition to the impound fee per animal.
