JOB SUMMARY:

The City of Murphy is now accepting applications for Fire Lieutenant with the Murphy Fire Department.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

• A minimum of 15 years of full-time fire experience with a city equal to or larger than Murphy (15,000 population); and
• A minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience at a city equal to or larger than Murphy; and,
• Intermediate Structural Firefighter Certification from the Texas Commission of Fire Protection Standards and Education is required; and,
• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician certification by the Department of State Health Services is required, certification as a paramedic is preferred.
