H-E-B Announces newest store in Murphy, Texas!

MURPHY, Texas (April 22, 2024) - The most talked about grocery store in Texas announced plans for their newest store in Murphy, Texas! Construction for H-E-B’s newly announced Murphy location will begin within the next year, with an opening date in 2026. This store will include a True Texas BBQ restaurant, curbside pickup area, fuel station, car wash, and conceptual plans show the store will be approximately 136,000 square feet in size.

“Murphy has been looking forward to this announcement for years, and to see it becoming a reality is truly exciting.” said Aretha Adams, City Manager of Murphy.

The Murphy H-E-B will be located on the southwest corner of FM 544 and McCreary Road, just to the south of the current CVS Pharmacy. 

“Having an H-E-B in our city is not only exciting from a sales tax revenue point of view, but as an asset to our community as a whole. They are well known for their dedication to their customers and participation in the communities they serve. I look forward to growing this partnership.” stated Mayor Scott Bradley.
